Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actress and producer. She has gained recognition for her exceptional performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with many awards for her performance which includes an Oscar. Her career began as an actor on Broadway and Off Broadway. From the time she was a child, she has been passionate about performing. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. When she was in the fifth grade following a bout of mumps, she lost her hearing in her left ear. But she didn't let it stop her from performing. At college, she was a theatre student and then moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dream. Hunter was introduced to Beth Henley by chance in a lift. Together they composed Broadway Crimes of the Heart. It was Hunter's acting debut. After that, she relocated from New York to Los Angeles and tried to get films roles. For Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. Holly Hunter has been in several films, TV series and movies over the course of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
